Predictions of 30-35ft swell in Punta de Lobos (Chile), a location notorious for big swell was on the cards! Mark Visser wasn't let down when he arrived with his crew and tow partner Sebastian Steudtner into Santiago! The swell had some serious punch and delivered waves well over 30ft!

Chilean Big Wave Surfer Christobal Gonzalez said "That was pretty big! I think one of the biggest days in Punta Lobos." The surfers braved the freezing waters to get some great rides, awesome footage and some spectacular wipe outs, one of which ripped Mark's tow vest completely apart. Christobal was on the wave in front of Mark's and said that he thought his life was going to be over if that wave had hit him! Once he realised that Visser was on that same wave he feared the worst for the Australian as he saw the wave close out the whole bay while his tow partner rescued him just in front of it! Lucky Visser was ok and carried on to surf out the rest of the day.

All footage and photos were filmed by Justin Brown.
